Premises Liability Recorded Statement
A premises liability recorded statement could be exactly what the insurance company needs to deny your compensation. Call our office to protect your rights.
Should I talk to the insurance company after a premises liability injury?
Recently, someone called me from South Carolina after they had had a horrible fall when they’d gone to a store to purchase something. The store didn’t let them know that there was a hole in the floor. They didn’t have a warning or anything. That person called me and said, “Somebody is trying to call me from the store to take a recorded statement, and they won’t leave me alone. What should I do?”
I immediately told them the last thing they should do is talk to that person and give them a recorded statement. I told them this because the person making the phone calls and wanting to take a recorded statement has an agenda. Their job is to do two things; first, they want to find out if there’s a way to blame the fall on you so that they don’t have to pay anything. Second, if they can’t find a way to do that, they’re going to try to minimize your injuries from the beginning.
One way they might try to do that is start asking you a bunch of questions about whether you’ve ever filed a claim before and whether you have any preexisting conditions. They’re going to not care that you’re still taking pain medication and you’re still woozy from the pain medication. The last thing you should do is speak with them.
Instead, what you need to do is call an experienced personal injury lawyer who handles premises cases and let us know about you. Once you establish contact with us, we can monitor your case. We can let you call us when you feel like it, and we can call in and check on you. Then when you’re feeling up to it, you can come to our office and talk to us about us representing you and fighting for you against this corporation that was already trying to take advantage of you from the very beginning.
We understand how that works. We’re here to fight for people. That’s our passion. Give us a call and let us fight for you.
